India has been under White Colonial masters for century thus their timid & servant-like behaviour is still not wipe off completely as remnants still remain. Unlike China under the 8 colonial powers since the 1st & 2nd Opium Wars has completely wiped out the remnants of the Western powers. Today China not only equal to the West but even better then US n it’s allies in space technology, AI tech, building cars, building high speed trains, railways, bridges, n even comparable to the West in building aircraft carriers, submarines, big air plane. Fighter jets, supersonic missiles, turn millions of acres of desert lands into agricultural lands, etc. These fast development caught the US n the West by Big surprise n shock that they become envious n jealous of China’s advancement. This is the world today. What is actually the urgent matter is everybody’s guess . But *officially Yelen announced that the US Treasury is running out of Cash* !
Yes , Cash !!! And she indicated that if Congress does not increase the limit of loans the Govt is allowed to raise , there is no money to spend by November this year . In short , *the US Govt is broke* ! And *needs to borrow more or print more money* !!!
But why the trip to China ??? On record , *China has Foreign Reserves of equivalent to USD 3.2 Trillions* !!! Of this about *USD 1.4 Trillion in US Dollars or USD IOU Notes* !
I suspect the Redemption Dates of some of the IOU Notes are due and the *interest on other IOUs needs to be paid on the due dates* .These payments perhaps need some *negotiations*as US is short of funds!!???*Can you imagine that ??? If this is the situation , the powerful, rich and master of the world nation is broke ! It actually *owes everybody else some USD 28 Trillions* if I am not mistaken . And they need to spend some USD 3+Trillions more under the forthcoming domestic infrastructure repairs , and improvements programme ! Some more, it is made up of the same deadwood. It is also oversized.
More important, it has already proven to be a failure. Got no better wood to make it with meh?

It blows my mind to think that the new prime minister can do something so stupid!

Already, the people have expressed their anger at the "kerajaan gagal" helmed by the old Cabinet under Muhyiddin. Why didn't Ismail Sabri think of getting new and more competent people to face the difficult tasks ahead? And he dares to announce such a Cabinet to the angry public?

Zafrul still as finance minister? Puhleeese! Hishammuddin promoted to defence minister? In the wake of the corruption allegations that have surfaced of his previous tenure in that position? Shahidan Kassim from Perlis as FT minister? What is Ismail Sabri thinking? Khairy Jamaluddin as health minister? He's got medical background meh? Speaking of which, why in tarnation is Adham Baba still in the Cabinet? Why is Pokemon and Food Panda rider Rina Harun also still in the Cabinet? Not enough laughing stocks ke?

Why is almost the entire Cabinet filled with the same old personnel who have become the targets of scorn, aspersion, insult, humiliation, ...?
One new addition is Ahmad Faizal Azumu the youth and sports minister. But this guy was also a failure as menteri besar of Perak. He had to be voted out! Why bring in a loser?

Noh Omar was another failure. I remember when he was Selangor Umno chief and how badly he performed in his role. He dreamed of BN taking back Selangor, but it remained a pipe dream.

Ismail Sabri has given his ministers 100 days to prove their worth. If they haven't done so in the past 17 months, can they do it in 100 days?

I say to Ismail Sabri, if they fail to perform, you yourself should resign as PM after 100 days.righwayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16150938067127325366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3962291562389601366.post-90847201874201526472021-08-18T21:20:00.551+08:002021-08-18T21:20:00.551+08:00In short, historically it was the Church that gave...In short, historically it was the Church that gave the moral blessing for colonisation, slavery and genocide during the Age of Globalisation. It had deviated into Barisan Nasional’s political propaganda machinery aimed against BN’s political rivals. Prior to GE 14, JASA was used to spearhead cybertroopers’ attack against the Pakatan Harapan politicians.

Patriot would also like to know why JASA is still being retained and not disbanded. Even if it is meant to disseminate the government’s initiatives and programmes, what is so special about JASA that other agencies of the ministry could not do? This is sheer duplication of tasks and wastage of funds. Since then, China’s status and capacity as a nation state has grown significantly. Will it then become more like Western powers now?

China today is a nation state, but different from European (nation) states. It is also still a civilisational state.

The Chinese people are not just Han, although the Han majority is 92%. There are 56 ethnic groups in China, (mostly) minorities.

But China rejected the Permanent Court of Arbitration’s ruling on the South China Sea, initiated by the Philippines, which found China’s claims insupportable.

The tribunal was illegal; it had no right to make such decisions. The Permanent Court of Arbitration is not part of the United Nations.

How can countries in South-East Asia be convinced that the rise of China will not simply result in Chinese imperialism replacing US imperialism?

China emphasises win-win partnerships, such as in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). It encourages discovering, building, and benefiting together.

Countries in South-East Asia join the BRI out of their own interest. It is not something imposed by China.

Some countries have described the Second Belt and Road Summit this year as being more consultative than the first. As for the future?

The future Belt and Road Summits will be even more open and consultative.

Is the current US-China trade dispute only a symptom of much larger differences, such as a historic divide in the reshaping of a new global order?

It is more than about trade. With the United States especially, it is zero-sum, but for China it is win-win.

The Chinese economy is larger than the US economy, or soon will be. (In PPP or purchasing power parity terms, China’s economy grew larger than the US economy in 2014.)

The United States is trying to decouple its economy from China’s. How can China ensure that it would not only withstand these efforts but also triumph?

The attempt to decouple the two economies will fail. About 85% of US companies that are already in China want to stay.

Looking at the trade structure, most Chinese exports to the US are irreplaceable. No other place in the world gives a better price-quality ratio in manufactured goods.

So the US cannot win in this decoupling because there are no alternatives (as desirable producing countries). China has the world’s largest chain or network, or factory clusters, for all kinds of goods.

How likely do you see a hot war – more than a trade war or a cold war – breaking out between a rising China and what is perceived to be a declining United States?

The US knows that it won’t win (a hot war). No two nuclear-armed countries will go to war. It would be very messy.

So far no two nuclear-armed countries have fought. There may be a small likelihood of direct confrontation, but not a war situation.

No commercial shipping has been interrupted by China. So the US need not worry.

Can Asean, or an Asean country like Malaysia, help to bring the United States and China closer together as partners rather than as rivals?

Possibly. Malaysia perhaps can help, as it is friendly to both China and the US.

As China continues in its rise, what steps is it taking to provide for more cooperative and consultative relations in this region?

Trade between China and Asean countries, for example, has grown, and has now exceeded China-US trade.

Generally, China’s relations with Asean countries are quite promising, with Free Trade Area relationships as well.

By Bunn Nagara, a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia.righwayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16150938067127325366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3962291562389601366.post-20846331510794623692019-09-23T12:06:31.945+08:002019-09-23T12:06:31.945+08:00China is no longer copying from the U.S. Now the r...China is no longer copying from the U.S. Now the reverse is true. At that point, I thought it was the end of the world for me as my parents were already 57 years old and had long retired as a tin mining worker (pekerja bijih timah). However, my dad insisted I must get a degree and he would exhaust all of his savings and EPF, yes, including his EPF for that. So I was "forced" to go to a private college due to rejections of local universities despite flying colors SPM results! At that time, there were no 4+0, 3+1, the best I could do was twining programs.

Yes, I had to go overseas for a degree! Wow.. how exciting right? Well, in order to be admitted to any US universities, I had to prove that I had enough money. And I remember I had to use my uncle's bank account and took an oath in front of a Pesuruhjaya Sumpah !

Our days in US universities were just about studying hard and working hard. Yes, working hard as we needed to work to pay for our tuition fees and living expenses. And I used WE here, because I wasn't alone. There were quite a few of my non-bumi unimates in the same situation like me. In fact, I had a senior, Soon, who even "selling" blood and being a mice for Harris Laboratories to test out the latest medicines to earn his tuition fees. I didn't have guts like him, hence what I did was taking lots of subjects in each semester to shorten my university life. I remember the most that I have taken was 7 subjects in a semester (for most students would be just 3 or 4 subjects in average) and yet I worked for 20 hours per week. I have done dish washing in cafeterias, also have done toilet cleaning ! My hands are allergic to detergents (even now), there were more than once my hands were cracked and bleeding, but yet I had to work.

7 subjects in a semester was no joke. I always stayed up late in the library or computer lab as I couldn't afford to have my own computer. Well, I even picked up my study table in a dumpster thrown by others, so what to expect right? I also remember I used to ride my bicycle in a snowing night after done using the computer in the lab. Snowing night! It's beautiful right?

But I had no mood to enjoy it at all as "hundreds of needles" were poking my face when I cycled in a below 0 degree celsius cold weather!! On top of that, the icy road might cause me falling down any time too! Fun eh?

Encik Maszlee, I am sure my story is just one out of many out there for those "berada" non-bumis whom you labelled and who could afford to go to private college !!! Is this the "ketidakseimbangan" that you talked about?

In "New" Malaysia, I don't expect things will change overnight and understand it will take time.

However, as a minister of education of what you term as "Malaysia Baharu", having that kind of mindset and having such words coming out of your mouth, is disappointing! Worse yet, you said it in front of students of a local university, who supposedly the future leaders of our nation, is heart breaking !!! Even more devastating , they agreed with you and chanted all along.

So. what is so new in this Malaysia Baharu? Where is the harapan?

By Ken Wunrighwayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03978302086088234768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3962291562389601366.post-32419119319660903652019-02-13T16:07:44.666+08:002019-02-13T16:07:44.666+08:00The revelations of academic inconsistencies to a w...The revelations of academic inconsistencies to a witch hunt reflect an immature response consequent to a bankruptcy of integrity in addressing the issues at hand – either one is an accountant or not, either one is a college dropout or not.

Surely, if such simple issues cannot be handled expeditiously, one wonders how the purported trillion ringgit debt will be managed! - Water Sandosamrighwayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16150938067127325366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3962291562389601366.post-30845787060293501902018-12-13T21:27:04.315+08:002018-12-13T21:27:04.315+08:00Huawei is not a state owned company but Collective...
Huawei is not a state owned company but Collectively owned by its employees, the company is known for a culture of discipline, in which no one, Mr Ren included, has their own driver or flies first class on the company dime.
